Greg Taylor’s contract situation continues to rumble on as he ponders his Celtic future.

The Hoops defender has not agreed on terms of a new deal as yet despite Taylor admitting that he wants to stay at Celtic at least until the end of the season.

Brendan Rodgers defended the Hoops defender after fans sang Kieran Tierney’s name as speculation linking the Arsenal defender to a Celtic Park return intensified.

However, there has been no development on a potential move as yet but it seems that talk of Taylor making a Celtic exit has not gone away.

MLS clubs are said to be interested in the Celtic star but it appears now that teams closer to home are keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old.

A report by the Daily Record seems to shed light on Taylor’s wage demands are not what they were once thought to be as four extra teams now come to the fore in the chase for the Celtic star’s signature.

Four teams emerge as suitors for Greg Taylor as Celtic contract runs down

It seems that Greg Taylor is highly sought after as his contract at Celtic continues to run down. With less than six months to go, the Scotland defender is free to talk to any club he wishes as he looks to sort out his future.

Trabzonspor is now said to have expressed an interest in Taylor and the report also says that La Liga side Espanyol and English Championship clubs Hull City and QPR are all monitoring the Hoops defender.

With so much interest in Taylor, it seems that the Scotland international could command a hefty salary from any club that wants his services but it seems that reports suggesting he wants to become one of Celtic’s highest earners are wide of the mark.

Greg Taylor’s £25k per week Celtic claim clarified as his preferred destination becomes clear

67 Hail Hail discussed earlier this month that Taylor was wanting £25k per week to stay at Celtic.

The Daily Record has also claimed that those reports are not accurate despite the Celtic fullback being in demand from a series of clubs across Europe.

However, the report does state that Taylor is happy in Glasgow and wants to stay at Celtic but if an exit did become apparent, Europe would be his preferred destination.

Until his contract situation at Celtic is sorted out, speculation will continue over Taylor’s future for the weeks ahead.

Many fans will be hoping Taylor makes the decision to stay in Glasgow with Celtic to continue his journey with Scotland’s most successful club.
