Gustav Isaksen is a name consistently mentioned where Celtic’s January transfer plans are concerned.
The Lazio winger was linked with Celtic last summer as the club pursued a new wide option.
Isaksen had featured against the Hoops in Champions League action and obviously did enough to spark interest from Brendan Rodgers and his recruitment staff.
Isaksen spoke on Celtic’s interest in him following the break down in conversations between clubs and he revealed he had no intentions of leaving Rome and had instructed his agent to reject offers.
Celtic revived their Isaksen interest last week, as we told you, and Lazio are now said to be considering the player’s future after they signed Arijon Ibrahimovic on a loan deal from Bayern Munich.

Celtic want wingers and Lazio’s Isaksen is on transfer shortlist
Reports in La Lazio Siamo Noi claim the 23-year-old could be allowed to depart the club this month as Lazio seek to cash-in on the playmaker.
Last summer Lazio wanted to keep Isaksen however were open to sanctioning a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of that deal.
It is believed that is still the case in the Serie A giants’ view so long as they rake in a decent sum when the Denmark international moves on.
It was claimed by Il Messaggero recently that Lazio would be seeking around £12.5million for their man which would be a steep fee for Celts to part with.
What Gustav Isaksen thinks about a potential Celtic move
Brendan Rodgers has told how he wants firepower and the Celtic manager is looking for two wingers and perhaps a striker this window.
One issue that might rear its head, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, is that Isaksen will apparently take some sweet talking before he would consider a switch to the Scottish Premiership.
The wide player is reportedly “not convinced” about Scotland having previously claimed a move away from Lazio would be “boring” after getting to know everyone inside the club.
