Lennon Miller is still a Motherwell player despite the new Premiership season being underway.
The Celtic transfer target missed Motherwell’s draw against Rangers on Saturday, but he was in attendance at Fir Park.
There has been considerable interest in Miller from across Europe following the 18-year-old’s breakthrough campaign last season.
Celtic have been one of the teams keen on the teenager, but where is he going to go before the 2025 summer transfer window slams shut?

James McFadden and Chris Sutton on Lennon Miller’s future at Motherwell
James McFadden spoke about Miller’s future after he was left out of Motherwell’s matchday squad for the opening day of the new season.
The Motherwell legend shared that he spoke with Scotland’s new star, and that ‘he will leave’ the club, as he told Sky Sports Football (02/08/25).
Celtic fans are hoping they sign Miller, but McFadden told Chris Sutton that he thinks the all-action midfielder will go to a team outside of Scotland.
“I don’t think it’s helpful that the longer this lingers,” said Sutton. “Ideally, the manager could keep him for another season, and it would certainly benefit the team.”
McFadden then added: “He will leave. He will leave, Motherwell, and he will go for a good fee. It can be frustrating for everyone involved.
“But Motherwell have an outstanding player on their hands, and they are quite well within their rights to look to get as much as they can for him. It’s frustrating for all involved, but I am sure there will be a resolution, and it will be a deal that both parties will be happy with.”
Sutton then asks: “Do you think he will stay in Scotland?”
McFadden responds: “No. But you never know. You can say, ‘I prefer to play here. I prefer to play there.’ But teams come in, make you an offer and give you a decision to make. It looks like he is going to be out with Scotland, but you never know.”
How much is Celtic transfer target Miller worth?
Everyone is aware of the noise around Celtic on transfers this summer, with sections of the fanbase annoyed that the boat isn’t being pushed out.
The irony here is that Miller is exactly what Celtic look for in transfers because he is the perfect project-like signing.
But with teams in Italy keen on Miller, it has been suggested that he is available for just over £5 million, which is less than half of what Celtic paid for club-record transfer Arne Engels.
