Southampton also rivalling Celtic to sign Michel-Ange Balikwisha
We’ve known for some time that Celtic are interested in Michel-Ange Balikwisha, but talks between the Hoops and Royal Antwerp are at a standstill.
Conflicting reports have suggested Celtic don’t want Balikwisha while others add that they may be waiting to see how their Champions League qualifier games go.
In a fresh update, Southampton were linked with Balikwisha and that they could rival the Bhoys for his signature.
Since Antwerp are open to selling players in the last year of their contracts, they could welcome a bidding war.
Jakob Breum deemed too small to play for Celtic
Celtic have had multiple bids for Breum rejected and the Hoops are still in need of a winger this summer.
Go Ahead Eagles want £5m for Breum and the 21-year-old played for the club in their Johan Cruyff Shield defeat to PSV Eindhoven at the weekend.

The winger’s future was discussed in the aftermath of the game however, two Dutch pundits think Breum is too small to play for Celtic and should remain in the Netherlands until next season
Scott Allan gives Adam Idah deadline to impress Brendan Rodgers
Adam Idah has received plenty of criticism for his start to the season.
It’s no secret that Celtic want a number nine this summer, but Idah hasn’t done anything to change the club’s mind.
Brendan Rodgers was impressed with Idah after the St Mirren win, but the sentiments weren’t the same and Scott Allan believes Idah has until the ‘end of the window’ to prove he is the right man.
“I think he has four weeks to show. Is he ready to be the number one striker for Celtic?” said Allan.
“I think you will see them spend a considerable amount of money on that position as well in the next four weeks, if he doesn’t get off to the start that he was expected to.”
