Adamu was highly rated when coming through the ranks at Red Bull Salzburg before making his move to Germany.
He was expected to become one of the shining stars in the league, following in the footsteps of fellow Salzburg alumni Karim Adeyemi.
Cvancara meanwhile impressed at Sparta Prague but never had the same clamour when he signed for Borussia Mochengladbach.

However, when you compare the record of the two in the Bundesliga, it is the latter who comes out on top.
Both have played the same amount of games but the Czech international has scored three more goals.
It isn’t much to go on, but both have very different styles of play. Cvancara is capable of playing with his back to the goal whereas Adamu thrives off running in behind the defence and press high up the pitch.
The one advantage Junior Adamu has over Tomas Cvancara
We have only seen a small sample size of Cvancara but the 25-year-old looks like he can offer a lot for the intense end to the season.
There is no reason to suggest that Adamu and Cvancara can’t play together, especially when the former is as versatile as he is.
The 24-year-old is also able to play as a right winger, a position that the Hoops are looking to recruit in.
This offers more flexibility up top, allowing both to play together, or to change things up when one isn’t working in the number nine position.
It seems like a perfect match, if Celtic can get the move over the line.
