Hyeon-gyu Oh could see a move to the Premier League revived after a new development.
18 months on from his Celtic exit, the South Korean international has had his fair share of transfer interest.
His move to Genk has proven to be a masterstroke in his career, and he came agonisingly close to a £24 million move to Stuttgart in the summer.
He could’ve returned to Celtic Park with the German side this summer in the Europa League knockout round play-off. However, issues with his medical caused the move to fall through.
This hasn’t stopped his name from floating around on the January market, though, and he could still leave the Belgian side before the deadline.

Update on ex-Celtic man Hyeon-gyu Oh
10 days ago, Oh held ‘positive talks’ with Fulham, with the Premier League club in the hunt for a long-term replacement for Raul Jimenez.
Besiktas have since emerged as the leaders in the race, and they’re pushing hard for the 24-year-old.

According to major Turkish outlet Fotomac, Besiktas have now increased their offer to €15 million for Oh, further testing Genk’s resolve.
Reports in Turkey are also saying that Genk have arranged for any medical tests to take place in Belgium, so as to prevent a repeat of what happened in the summer.
The Turkish window does not close for another week, so they hold the upper hand – but the rush may be linked to Fulham’s ongoing striker hunt.
After holding those positive talks with Genk, the Cottagers turned their attention to PSV striker Ricardo Pepi, making a £26 million offer to the Dutch side.
However, that deal is now off after PSV firmly communicated that they will not be selling the USA international. If Fulham return to the table for Oh, he could opt to move to England instead of Turkey.
As yet, there is no indication that Fulham are making a late push for the ex-Hoops man, who was brought to Glasgow for £2.5 million by Ange Postecoglou in 2023.
Despite the vast majority of his 47 appearances coming from the bench, he managed a respectable tally of 12 goals, before the signing of Adam Idah sealed his fate.

Hyeon-gyu Oh’s Celtic message after Rangers goal
Earlier this season, Oh scored at Ibrox for Genk, on a night which really should’ve seen him score a hat-trick.
After the win over Russell Martin’s side at Ibrox, the striker was asked his thoughts on Rangers – and couldn’t resist a smirk.
He said: “Rangers? I don’t know, they’re just working hard every day. They’ll just keep going… [laughs.]
“It was one of my dreams to score in Ibrox, so I did and I’m happy. I just believe in myself, this is my job. I did it.
“I should’ve scored three or four goals, but I even score one and we win.”
