The hourglass is draining of sand where the January transfer deadline is concerned.
Celtic have business in hand finally, at least, but fans might have expected more to be done on the final day of the window.
Brendan Rodgers has known for months a striker is needed with Kyogo leaving while another wide player was wanted to join alongside Jota.
Left-back is also a spot Rodgers wanted cover for and Kieran Tierney has agreed a pre-contract but that won’t be until the summer.
Even earlier this morning Celts tried Arsenal again to convince them to let the defender go this month but the Scottish Premiership outfit hoped the Gunners might part with the player for a nominal fee.

Kieran Tierney will join Celtic in summer
That is not believed to be the case and it appears that KT will be staying in North London until the summer when he arrives in Glasgow.
Meanwhile Celts received the ‘here we go’ treatment from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano earlier this evening with the news that Crystal Palace utility man Jeff Schlupp has agreed to make the move to Parkhead on deadline day.
The loan move for the German-born left-sided player is now in place with the veteran star expected to travel to Scotland this evening for the formalities of the deal to be officially concluded.
That obviously includes the scarf above his head picture as he joins his new club to presumably challenge or play understudy to Greg Taylor on the flank.
Jeffrey Schlupp is close to a Celtic loan until end of season
A striker has also been Rodgers’ priority and the Irishman hopes still to do what he did last year in bringing in an attacker on another loan.
Adam Idah was the man who arrived last January but it won’t be Kelechi Iheanacho who joins him after he agreed a switch to EFL Championship side Middlesbrough.
There is still just over three hours to go until the window shuts so it will be a race against time for a forward in the door.
