The wait goes on for Celtic fans, as the January transfer deadline edges ever closer.
Following Celtic’s win over Utrecht in the Europa League on Thursday, Martin O’Neill suggested that he was more hopeful about getting deals concluded before Monday’s deadline.
O’Neill previously suggested Celtic weren’t far off from signing either Fares Ghedjemis or Damir Redzic, but nothing seems to be moving forward, as another name has entered the transfer chat.
Noah forward Nardin Mulahusejnovic is now being spoken about to enhance Celtic’s attacking line.

Where do Celtic still need to strengthen after signing Tomas Cvancara and Julian Araujo?

Celtic open talks with Noah for forward Nardin Mulahusejnovic
Mulahusejnovic might be familiar with Celtic supporters because he was in action in Scotland this season when his Noah side faced Aberdeen in the Europa Conference League.
The 27-year-old scored for Noah in his side’s 1-1 draw at Pittodrie, and he is currently the top scorer in the Europa Conference League with five goals.
And now, according to journalist Rudy Galetti on social media, Celtic have ‘opened talks’ with Noah for their towering forward.
Galetti explained the situation around the 6’3″ forward, and how Noah are not considering any loan deals for their star player.
‘EXCL | Celtic opened talks with Noah for Nardin Mulahusejnović,’ wrote Galetti.
‘Another Scottish club showed interest in him and is assessing its options. Also, Rapid Wien made an approach with a 6-month loan plus a €1.5m buy option, but Noah rejected it as no loan deals are considered.’
Mulahusejnovic’s numbers for Noah this season
Celtic’s January signing, Tomas Cvancara, has a presence about him, and so does Mulahusejnovic, which shouldn’t be a surprise, given that it’s O’Neill having a big say behind the scenes.
If Celtic want to win the Premiership title, they need bodies in the building and goals to enhance a previously bleak and struggling attacking line.
Mulahusejnovic’s numbers are fairly healthy this season.
- Games: 24
- Starts: 16
- Goals: 9
- Assists: 4
