Kasper Hogh is ‘very interested’ in a move to Celtic, opening the door to a move to Glasgow this summer.
The Bodo/Glimt striker has emerged as Martin O’Neill’s headline target in recent weeks, having been the subject of interest from the Hoops in January.
Celtic have opened talks to sign Hogh, but expect a bit of haggling from the club given that the Norwegian side are unwilling to budge on their valuation of around £10 million.
Given his hugely impressive European pedigree, the 25-year-old would be a hugely well-received signing among the Parkhead support.

According to Norwegian outlet Sporten, Hogh is very interested in a move to Glasgow, with “everything pointing to a positive outcome” for the move.
The imminent sale of Daizen Maeda could accelerate Celtic’s progress.

The news that Kelechi Iheanacho won’t be returning to Celtic is also likely to kick O’Neill’s push into gear, if it wasn’t already.
In Tomas Cvancara and Junior Adamu, the Parkhead boss has already been stung by the striker market this year, but Hogh looks like much less of a gamble.
Celtic were linked with Hogh in January, though the Danish striker was bound to stay after scoring three goals in two games against Atletico Madrid and Manchester City to qualify his side for the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
Beginning his career at Randers, he spent time on loan in Iceland, but eventually moved to Norway when he was unable to break through in the Danish Superliga.
Just a single season at Stabaek was enough to earn him a move to Kjetil Knutsen’s side. Last season, he racked up seven goals as the club reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Philippe Clement’s Norwich City had reportedly been leading the race to sign Hogh before the City game in January, but his aforementioned January performances may just have taken him out of their reach.
Celtic have been here before with the Norwegian side – both Philip Zinckernagel and Patrick Berg have been widely-reported transfer targets for the Hoops while at the Norwegian club in the past.
