Brendan Rodgers is keen to add fresh faces to his Celtic squad in the January transfer window.

The Celtic manager has been clear about his intentions, and Rodgers has already stated that he expects new signings at the Bhoys before the window closes at the end of the month.

With injuries to Hoops wingers Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda exposing Celtic’s lack of quality in the wing areas, the need to strengthen the flanks has become very apparent over the last two games.

And it seems that Brendan Rodgers could be looking to address that as he ponders raiding La Liga for an exciting Spain U21 international winger.

Celtic consider £8.5m offer for La Liga winger Raul Moro

With plenty of cash to spend, Celtic are said to be weighing up an offer for Real Valladolid winger, Raul Moro.

The Daily Mail states that the La Liga club are ‘aware’ of Celtic’s interest but Ajax are also reportedly interested in the 22-year-old Spain U21 winger.

Moro has made 18 appearances in the Spanish top-flight scoring three goals and creating one assist. With goals against Carl Starfelt’s Celtic Vigo and Atletico Madrid, Moro clearly has talent as Valladolid looks to cash in on their prized asset.

Raul Moro’s skills show why Celtic want the exciting young winger

Moro has 140 career appearances overall and has scored 28 goals and created 18 in spells at Lazio, Real Oviedo and, of course, Valladolid.

Versatile, Moro can play on both flanks and has also been known to play on the central attacking midfield areas as well as upfront and as a false number nine.

Brendan Rodgers is clearly looking to add talent to his squad but with Ajax in the mix, the Celtic boss must decide quickly if he intends to make a move and avoid getting into a bidding war with the former Eredivisie champions.
