Kyogo Furuhashi is extremely likely to be sold this summer by Stade Rennais.
The Celtic hero was sold by the Parkhead club for £10m in the January transfer window as he sought a new challenge outwith Scotland.
But his venture in France has been a complete disaster, mainly due to a change of head coach just after Kyogo was signed.
He’s made just six appearances for the Ligue 1 club and failed to score his debut goal across the second half of last season.
Rennes appointed a new sporting director in May and his priority is to slash the wage bill and reduce the number of first-team players in the squad.
Kyogo is on the transfer list, and now L’Equipe have explained how much Rennes would be willing to accept to get rid of the 30-year-old.

Stade Rennais would accept just over £5m for Kyogo
Celtic have been linked with re-signing Kyogo, but no real credible reportage has come to light over that being a distinct possibility.
But now the Hoops may be tempted to bring him back to Glasgow for a cut-price deal, as L’Equipe say Rennes would take just £5m for Kyogo.
With that, the Bhoys would still have a £5m profit from his sale in the winter, as well as having the deadly marksman back in the first-team squad.
Brendan Rodgers is looking for a striker to compete with Adam Idah, so it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if Kyogo was back in the green and white hoops.
However, Callum Osmand is set to sign from Fulham, so Celtic may wish to pursue targets in positions elsewhere.
Birmingham City now in prime position to sign Kyogo
Celtic haven’t approached Rennes over the possibility of taking Kyogo back, and while it makes a lot of sense, it’s probably unlikely.
EFL Championship side Birmingham City have made initial contact with Rennes with a view to signing Kyogo after their promotion.
Birmingham fans are excited by the prospect of recruiting Kyogo, who scored 85 goals in 165 appearances for Celtic across nearly four years.
