The January transfer window is entering its final few weeks and Celtic are yet to make any big moves.
Most of the noise has come with the outgoings, including the latest news of Alexandro Bernabei joining Internacional on a permanent basis.
But the Celtic fans want to see those incomings and the squad strengthened, as Brendan Rodgers continues to dominate on the domestic circuit, including showing progression on the European stage.
On Saturday, Celtic beat Kilmarnock to progress through to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup and keep up the club’s hopes of winning another Treble.
Martin O’Neill was in attendance at Parkhead over the weekend and many topics were brought up with the club’s legendary manager.
After Celtic got the job done, thanks to a Daizen Maeda winner, transfers and what could happen for the rest of the window were discussed by the 72-year-old.

From the possible return of Kieran Tierney to Celtic looking to sign Aston Villa’s Louie Barry, many names have done the rounds ever since the winter transfer window re-opened.
O’Neill is in no doubt that Rodgers wants to add to his squad, even though no players are yet to arrive and the time is ticking towards the deadline.
The January window, for most of Europe, slams shut on Monday, February 3, 2025, so there is still time to get deals done.
But O’Neill also joked that Rodgers will be thinking every time he does an interview, up until that date, he is going to be asked about transfers, as he told Premier Sports (18/01/25 at 7:55 pm).
“I am sure (Rodgers) will want to (add to his squad), he is a football manager, they always want to,” said O’Neill.
“He had a wry smile there because, I think he is thinking, well up until what is it, 2nd/3rd February when the transfer deadline is ended. I am going to be asked this question every single interview I do.”
O’Neill reacts to Celtic’s Champions League return ahead of Young Boys fixture
Celtic’s fixture against Young Boys is huge because destiny is in the Bhoys’ hands to progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
With a trip to Aston Villa coming up at the end of the month, Rodgers doesn’t want to travel down to the Midlands needing anything to confirm knockout football.
Get the three points against bottom-of-the-table Young Boys and the job should be done, with O’Neill looking forward to the match and also liking the new Champions League format.
“It’s really exciting,” added O’Neill about Celtic’s clash against Young Boys.
“I think the format suits Celtic. Suits teams like Celtic, at this minute. It gives them a better chance of qualifying for the competition.
“Now, you could be into the knockout. I mean, expectations will be very, very high here (against Young Boys). Overall, lots to look forward to.”
