Celtic have been linked with Michel-Ange Balikwisha for what feels like an eternity.
Balikwisha has always been open to the idea of joining Celtic and filling a position they desperately need more bodies in.
Following the sale of Nicolas Kuhn to Como, Luis Palma joining Lech Poznan and the likely departure of Marco Tilio to Rapid Vienna, there are a sparse number of options.
The Hoops have four competitions they’ll be competing in and need as many options as possible.

Celtic haven’t been in talks with Michel-Ange Balikwisha
Royal Antwerp winger Balikwisha has been linked with Celtic for the best part of over a year.
Antwerp director Marc Overmars revealed the winger could leave for the right price but in the latest update, the 24-year-old’s agent revealed that no discussions have taken place, despite Balikwisha’s interest in coming to Celtic Park.
Speaking to the Daily Record, he said: “Michel-Ange is not closed to the idea of joining Celtic, but the club would still have to come forward. No discussions are underway.”
Celtic cannot afford to waste time in Balikwisha deal
After missing out on Balikwisha a year ago due to an injury he suffered, Celtic really can’t afford to repeat history.
The Bhoys have made seven summer signings so far but still need more and Brendan Rodgers is clearly not completely satisfied with his squad.
In the past few years, Celtic have been known to leave proactiveness at the door and wait until the very last minute to get the deal done.
With a Champions League qualifier coming up in August, players need to be bedded in and ready to hit the ground running.
