Celtic star Nicolas Kuhn is being tracked by English Premier League outfit Newcastle United, according to a report.
The German winger moved to Celtic in January 2024 for just under £3m from Rapid Wien and despite a slow start, has proven to be a massive asset for the Parkhead club.
Kuhn suffered with dental problems upon his arrival in Glasgow and failed to deliver his truest potential at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Now, he is arguably Celtic’s most dangerous attacker and has 17 goals to his name in all competitions so far this campaign.
Kuhn is the Premiership’s second top scorer on 10 strikes and trails teammate Daizen Maeda by one on the assists leaderboard with six.
Moreover, his reputation in the Champions League has skyrocketed this season with Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer identifying Kuhn as Celtic’s danger man earlier this week.

Newcastle United ‘scouting’ Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn
His glittering form in recent months has reportedly alerted Newcastle United, according to the Daily Mail, and Magpie scouts were said to be in attendance as Celtic lost 2-1 to Bayern on Wednesday.
Kuhn thought he’d scored after just 25 seconds of action but Adam Idah was adjudged to be offside and obscuring Neuer’s line of vision when the shot was hit.
The Daily Mail add that Kuhn has been monitored by Newcastle several times this season already because Eddie Howe’s side want to acquire a right winger in the summer.
It is being reported that Kuhn is likely to move away from Celtic after this season and Newcastle will need to cough up a transfer fee of £20m to have a chance of signing the 25-year-old.
Kuhn is apparently the ideal forward player for Howe given his exceptional dribbling ability and pace, as well as having the versatility to play on the left and centrally.
Where £20m Kuhn sale would rank among Celtic’s record transfer exports
£20m could be enough to tempt Celtic into a sale in the summer, particularly given that guarantees a £17m profit for a player they signed just 13 months ago.
Kuhn would be the Bhoys’ fourth expensive transfer export of all-time if that were to pan out, with £20m a higher figure than what Celtic raked in for the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer.

Matt O’Riley is Celtic’s record transfer sale after his initial £26m move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer, with Jota and Kieran Tierney just behind on £25m each.
Jota moved to Al-Ittihad but is back in Celtic colours, while Arsenal’s Tierney will also make his emotional return to Parkhead in the summer on a free transfer.
