Celtic are in search of a new goalkeeper this summer.
Many issues arose for Celtic last season, including the handling of the goalkeeper department, which ended in Kasper Schmeichel abruptly retiring.
Even though Viljami Sinisalo is holding the gloves, the club have still been linked with Dinko Horkas of Las Palmas.
67 Hail Hail have offered a lowdown of the shot-stopper, and what the champions of Scotland can accept if he moves to Glasgow this summer.
Has he done enough?
From Zagreb to the Canary Islands
If Celtic are to sign Horkas, they will sign a keeper who has a fair amount of experience under his belt after starting his career in his hometown of Zagreb.
Horkas didn’t represent Dinamo; instead, playing for the likes of Zrinjski Mostar, NK Varaždin, and HŠK Posušje before leaving the comfort of his home in Croatia and moving to Bulgaria.
The 27-year-old would spend two seasons at Lokomotiv Plovdiv before moving to Spain and signing for Las Palmas, where he was relegated in his first season.
In Horkas’ defence, he didn’t start the season with Las Palmas, but when things started to go wrong, he was handed the main gloves for the second half of the season, and he wasn’t able to keep them up.
Last term, Horkas was a regular starter as his team finished fifth in Segunda División and failed to earn promotion back to La Liga.
- Name: Dinko Horkas
- Birthplace: Sisak, Croatia
- Age: 27
- Height: 6 feet and 2 inches
- Position: Goalkeeper
- Career appearances: 247
- Career clean sheets: 88

Don’t forget about Viljami Sinisalo…
At the end of the day, it’s up to O’Neill. If he wants a new number one, then Celtic have to find one.
But Sinisalo shouldn’t be forgotten about, because he did a healthy job following Schmeichel’s brutal end to the season.
Given how much of a clear-up Celtic need to undertake, it could be argued that the goalkeeping position shouldn’t be touched, and Sinisalo should be trusted to make that number one spot his own.
