The Celtic defender has found himself on the bench against Brendan Rodgers, re-finding his form under Martin O’Neill, and then playing as the only centre-back under Wilfried Nancy.
To nobody’s surprise, it has resulted in Trusty producing mixed performances, but he was back to his best on Saturday afternoon.
Celtic beat Dundee United, netting four goals, including securing a clean sheet, and Trusty was upbeat on social media.

Trusty’s stats for Celtic against Dundee United
Celtic will need to bring in a right-sided centre-back during the January transfer window to balance out the backline following Cameron Carter-Vickers’ season-ending injury.
But in the meantime, it’s going to be Trusty and Liam Scales starting at the heart of defence.
Yes, the duo divided opinion, but they are better together, and that was a much-deserved clean sheet against Dundee United.
