After this latest development, I think it is safe to say that this will effectively end Celtic’s interest if there was any to begin with.
We will simply not pay that kind of money for a player. And at 25 years old, the chances of recouping that kind of cash later on in years would nigh on impossible.
Brendan Rodgers will be looking to add to his squad this summer. We told this morning that although there is no news of when Yang Hyun-jun and Kwon Hyoek-kyu will be announced, the Celtic manager has said that there is work being done in the background to add to the squad.
But for now, Celtic will be looking forward to wrapping up the second leg of the Japan Tour after going down 6-4 to Yokohama F Marinos this morning. Brendan Rodgers’ men now face Gamba Osaka this coming Saturday and will be hoping to end the tour on a high.
