Celtic put up a brave fight against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers’ side gave an excellent account of themselves against the Bundesliga giants as Celtic drew with Bayern in the Allianz Arena.
Nicolas Kuhn thought he had forced the game to extra time for Celtic with his second-half strike but with just 15 seconds to go, Alphonso Davies broke the Hoops supporters’ hearts with a late, late equaliser to send the Parkhead club spinning out of the Champions League.
And as Vincent Kompany & Co extolled the virtues of Celtic’s performance, Bayern president Herbert Hainer shared what he thought of the Bhoys less than a week after his club’s big win.

Bayern Munich president praises Celtic after Champions League clash
Taking in a full Q&A, Hainer answered a variety of questions about Bayern’s season, the Champions League and facing Celtic in Europe’s top competition.
Hainer told Illertisser Zeitung [print edition page 12], “Glasgow Celtic is not a bad team, and we have about 50 competitive games in a season, there will always be a small dent.
“But I agree with you when you say that we certainly have to put something on for the knockout games. If we want to achieve something, everyone must be ready to go to their limit.”

And as the president of the Bundesliga club talked up the Bhoys, so did his players as they praised the Hoops over the two legs.

Finally, Joshua Kimmich praised the Celtic fans for their part in urging the team to pull the two-goal deficit back as the Parkhead crowd spooked his teammates.
