Adam Idah’s situation with Norwich City and Celtic is certainly not going to go away anytime soon.
We discussed over the weekend how The Canaries boss, Johannes Hoff Thorup told Idah where he stood at his club as he said the Irishman still remains part of his plans for Norwich’s season opener against Oxford United next weekend despite recent discipline issues.
With the speculation surrounding Adam Idah‘s future now at a fever pitch, BBC reporter, Tom English, shares what he knows ‘for a fact’ on how the 23-year-old feels about a return to Celtic Park this summer.
English: Idah ‘really, really keen’ on Celtic move
Idah was pivotal for the Hoops as they won a league and Scottish Cup double last season. Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of the fact he wants the striker permanently and recent reports have suggested that Idah wants to return to Paradise.
But here, English is no doubt about how the Irish international feels about a move to Parkhead.
English said [Scottish Football Podcast], “I think Adam Idah, I suspect that they’ll get that deal done.
“I know there’s an awful lot of kind of talking going on. But in his games last season I thought he was terrific.
“I’m not just speaking because I’m a fellow Irishman, but his age profile is excellent. His goals return and his goals per minute was better than anyone else in the league. And a scorer of big goals as well.
“And I know for a fact that he is really, really keen to come back to Celtic.
“There’s no doubt he’ll be a great signing. He did really well last season.”

Celtic fans will want to see Idah deal finalised
There has been no real significant progress in a deal being brokered between the two clubs since Celtic had a bid rejected at the beginning of July.
The Norwich fans made their feelings perfectly clear on what they think of Idah at the weekend so it does seem like could be just a matter of time before he makes his exit from the Championship club.
The Celtic fans will be hoping that his next move will be to Paradise as Rodgers looks to bolster his forward line for the season ahead.
With just under four weeks of the transfer window left, the clock is ticking for Celtic to get a deal done.
