The transfer window doesn’t open for another two months yet Celtic are still being advised to make a move for a player who would be too expensive for Rangers.

Celtic’s latest set of financial figures solidified the club as the country’s most-richest club that can outbid any team in the Scottish Premiership for a player if they really wanted to.

However, with the Celtic first team looking really strong, Brendan Rodgers is not a man to rest on his laurels and will undoubtedly look to strengthen in January.

And Peter Grant has told him to go and sign a player from the SPFL who is ‘more than capable’ of playing in the Celtic first-team right now.

Celtic told to sign Lennon Miller because Rangers can’t

Grant told The Go Radio Football Show [56m 01s], “I said to you last year I thought he should have gone to the Euro finals, Lennon Miller.

“I thought Celtic Rangers for signing him, for sure. He’s more than capable of playing in those teams, and I agree, he’s more than capable of playing in the Celtic team or the Rangers team at this moment in time.

“There is absolutely no doubt of that. I’m not sure Rangers could afford him, and it’s probably Celtic’s strongest area at this minute in time.

“So maybe he’s saying to himself, well, if he’s going somewhere, his next step may be that he continues playing.

“I genuinely think, a bit like Luke McCowan, if you go to Celtic it’s up to to grab it. It doesn’t matter where you came from.

“I know he’s only 18 years of age and you’ve got to learn the European games but you can only learn when you’re involved in them.”

What’s previously been said by Brendan Rodgers and pundits about Lennon Miller joining Celtic

Lennon Miller was linked to Celtic almost a year ago as he enjoyed his big breakthrough season at Motherwell.

The youngster has 51 first-team appearances for The Steelmen scoring five goals and creating six. At just 18, he’s one of the hottest properties in Scotland and has been heavily spoken about joining Celtic for months now.

Capped 16 times at junior level for Scotland, it’s clear Miller is talented and has a huge future in the game and one who could develop into a top player.

So with that in mind, 67 Hail Hail, looks at what has been been said about young Lennon joining Celtic.
