Despite Brendan Rodgers building a very solid Celtic squad over the summer, there are still a number of players who are on the fringes that probably need to be shifted out of the club.
The Celtic boss did a great job of getting seven players out the club in the summer who will play no part this season for the club.
Guys like Sead Haksabanovic, Hyeongyu Oh, Yuki Kobayashi, Liam Shaw, Mikey Johnston and Tomoki Iwata all got Celtic exits and are all playing regular football at their new clubs.
But there is still some more work to be done and it seems that come January, Celtic could be looking at receiving over £3.75m heading to their bank account as they negotiate a deal to move on a player who Ange Postecoglou signed in 2022.
Celtic in ‘negotiations’ to get more than what they paid for Alexandro Bernabei
The future of Alexandro Bernabei is a story that has been going on ever since the Celtic defender started to enjoy a run in Internacional’s first-team.
67 Hail Hail told exclusively yesterday how a Brazilian insider said Internacional want the Celtic defender but that they would need to offload players first to afford his fee.
With Celtic placing an £8m valuation on Bernabei, it seems that the price is being negotiated down. However, according to journalist Seba Ongarelli, the Parkhead club could still recoup more than the £3.75m fee paid in 2022.
Ongarelli said on social media channel X, “Inter and Celtic currently in negotiations for Bernabe.
“The Brazilian team has the priority until 31/12. After that, Celtic can negotiate with other interested clubs in Europe and SA.
“I don’t have the transfer fee but I expect to be more than what Celtic paid for.”
What’s been said about Celtic’s Alexandro Bernabei’s on-loan spell at Internacional
Bernabei struggled to get into the Brazilian Serie A team at the start of his loan spell but as soon as the Celtic defender made his Internacional debut, he has never been dropped.
The Brazilian media called his debut electric as he helped Internacional earn a 0-0 draw against Real Tomayapo in the Copa Sudamericana.

Internacional fans are loving the Celtic defender after his league debut in the 1-1 away draw with Bahia earlier this season.
Club president, Alessandro Barcellos, is a huge fan of Bernabei and has not shied away from his desire to buy the Hoops fullback.
So it looks like a permanent Celtic exit is on for Bernabei as long as both clubs can come to an agreement on the fee for the 24-year-old.
