Celtic have a strong squad, but are yet to really get going this season.
A 3-2 win against Motherwell papered over the cracks somewhat as the Hoops went into the international break two points behind Hearts.
While the likes of Liam Scales and Kelechi Iheanacho have impressed, others such as Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate can perform to a much higher standard.
Their inconsistent start to the season means that the overall value of the squad has depreciated after three months of the campaign.
Celtic squad value 2025/26 season
According to Transfermarkt, several members of the Celtic squad have gone down in value.
Big-hitters like Kasper Schmeichel have gone down from €500k to €300k while the Hoops’ record signing Arne Engels is now only worth €10m.
Others who have also seen their values drop include Kieran Tierney, Auston Trusty, Alistair Johnston, Jota, Paulo Bernardo, and summer signing Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
In some brighter news, the Bhoys do have two players on the rise as Sebastian Tounekti’s value has risen from €1.2m to €4m.

Forgotten summer signing Shin Yamada has also seen an increase and is now valued at €1m.
Overall, the Celtic squad is now worth €132.65m.
Celtic squad is in need of a rebuild
A drop in value can be expected for some players like Schmeichel, who are naturally in the latter stages of their careers, but across the board is a concern.
Brendan Rodgers and his previous managerial appointments deserve praise for building the squad to where it is but a change is on the horizon.
Callum McGregor and others are all on the older side, and players like Daizen Maeda want to leave Celtic.
A big change is on the cards over the next few years, and a lot of the current faces could well be moved on sooner rather than later.
