This will be Celtic’s first game – against Dundee on Sunday – since the club’s meeting with supporters over the international break.
Brendan Rodgers’ side beat Motherwell last time out, and then the board met with the Celtic fans’ collective after weeks of protests.
Minutes were released from that meeting, and it’s fair to say that the ill-feeling the Celtic Park faithful had towards certain individuals running the club has only grown.
To put it bluntly, Celtic fans want changes in the boardroom, but Hugh Keevins has told those paying for their tickets what Dermot Desmond will refuse to do.

Celtic’s ‘token gesture’ meeting with fans
Celtic fans don’t hear much from Desmond, despite the Irishman being the club’s majority shareholder, and Keevins made it clear ‘the board won’t be changed.’
Speaking on Clyde 1, Keevins, who has previously shared that he has had conversations with Celtic board members before, stated, ‘there will be no changes anywhere.’
He even claimed that Celtic’s recent meeting with supporters, where Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay were present, was just a ‘token gesture.’
“The board won’t be changed,” insisted Keevins. “Because Dermot Desmond runs the club. There will be no changes anywhere.
“The Celtic fans want clarity. The board want insularity. They have the running of the club. As I said, there will be no changes of a structural nature.
“The meeting, I thought, was a token gesture. But I agree that fan protests are detrimental to the team. The whole day at Kilmarnock recently was a mess, with fans coming in after 12 minutes and so on.
“I watched them at Firhill in the Premier Sports Cup; there were protests, but not of the sort that got in the way of the football.”
Celtic’s protests against Dundee
Attention will now turn to Dundee, as the protests show no sign of stopping.
After Hearts went five points clear at the top of the Premiership table, Brendan Rodgers will want to claw that back.
“I can’t help but, on Sunday against Dundee, there will be something planned that might get in the way of the football,” claims Keevins.
“Brendan Rodgers has tried to say his level best to say, ‘the support is unique and the support is very much needed.’
“But there are some fans who are in the mood to have a fight with the board.”
