Celtic told what they will have to pay to sign Sebastian Tounekti

Following Celtic’s Champions League exit, pressure is on the board to supply Brendan Rodgers with enough players before the window closes.

After several failed attempts to sign Jakob Breum, their attention has turned to Sweden and Hammarby winger Sebastian Tounekti.

The Tunisian has three goals in 19 games for Hammarby and according to reports, Celtic had a €3m bid for Tounekti rejected as the Allsvenskan outfit want more than double.

It’s not the first time the Hoops have tried to lowball a side to land a target they want.

Bojan Miovski has been linked with Celtic and Rangers throughout the summer as both sides look to bolster their goal scoring options.

Miovski is set to leave Girona this summer 12 months after signing for just under £7m so that he can secure his long-term future elsewhere.

While Celtic’s loss against Kairat Almaty emphasised the need for a proven finisher, it looks as if it won’t be Miovski after Rangers entered into talks with the 26-year-old.

No deal is complete yet but the North Macedonia international seems more likely to be heading for Ibrox as it stands.

Mitchel Frame set for Aberdeen move

Another one of the Celtic academy stars has decided that it’s time to move on in search of first-team football elsewhere.

Left-back Mitchel Frame has agreed to join Aberdeen for a reported six-figure deal and will head to Pittodrie to sign a four-year deal.
