Celtic are really turning the gears when it comes to their summer transfer window plans.

Three players have signed for Celtic this summer and two more are expected imminently.

Callum Osmand is set to join from Fulham and Hayato Inamura is travelling to Scotland this week to finalise his deal.

Brendan Rodgers is also trying to keep his star players at Celtic Park, including Daizen Maeda.

Maeda has been admired by Fenerbahce but what they’re about to do can only be good news for the Hoops.

Fenerbahce set to complete Jhon Duran loan move

Jose Mourinho has an eye for a player and Maeda certainly came to his attention.

The striker scored 33 goals in all competitions last season and has even had interest from Brentford.

However, Mourinho appears to have gone in a different direction after agreeing a deal to sign Jhon Duran on loan, as per TalkSPORT.

Duran surprised everyone by leaving Aston Villa in January to sign for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Despite scoring 12 goals in 18 games, it seems like he’s already had enough and is preparing to return to Europe to sign for the Turkish giants.

It’s a deal that will raise eyebrows everywhere but equally be one that provides some comfort to Celtic as their chances of keeping Maeda improve.

How much would Celtic sell Daizen Maeda for?

No official asking price has been revealed for the Japan international, however, the likelihood is that his services would command something close to a record fee received for a Celtic player.

Aged 27, Maeda is in the prime of his career and his form last season has added a few extra million to his price tag.

Anywhere between the region of £22m-£25m could be enough to persuade Celtic to sell but the Bhoys are healthy financially right now and as competitive as ever, meaning they don’t need to bow down to pressure elsewhere.
