Celtic are getting closer and closer to appointing a new manager.
On Thursday, it will be a month since Brendan Rodgers departed, and Wilfried Nancy’s name could be confirmed by then.
It has been a slow process by Celtic, but they have been able to operate at this pace because of the job Martin O’Neill has been doing.
Added to the fact that Columbus Crew were seemingly not keen on allowing their coach to go when the champions of Scotland came knocking for his services.

American journalist and Crew expert Brianna Mac Kay has been providing the lowdown on the Nancy situation from stateside.
She has reported that The Crew ‘attempted to negotiate a contract extension’ with Nancy, as Celtic came knocking for his services.
But the Frenchman expressed that ‘he wanted to coach overseas for Celtic’, and now it seems as though a deal to bring him to Glasgow is at its final stages.
When will Celtic fans see Nancy in the dugout?
According to Mac Kay, there is currently ‘no timeline’, as to when Nancy will officially become Celtic’s next manager.
However, according to the British press, O’Neill might have two more games in charge of Celtic, starting with a trip to the Netherlands on Thursday night.
Celtic take on Robin van Persie’s struggling Feyenoord team in the Europa League, and then it’s a trip to the capital to take on Hibernian.
That’s when it’s expected that Nancy will be appointed, as his first game in charge could be a midweek Premiership match against Dundee.
