Brendan Rodgers is still to make his first signing of the January transfer window for Celtic.
The Hoops manager has plenty of cash to splash after raking in millions of pounds after the sale of Alexandro Bernabei from Celtic to Internacional tops up the bank balance garnered from the summer transfer business.
However, it seems that there is one signing Rodgers is set to make that is going to create real problems for Celtic’s rivals in the second half of the season.

Player with ‘really incredible’ stats is set to sign for Celtic
With Celtic set to sell Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes this week, Scott Allan has said that when the Bhoys sign Jota, Brendan Rodgers will create something ‘scary’ that will have Celtic’s opponents in fear.
Allan told The Scottish Football Podcast, “I think the softening of it is Jota obviously coming back, an entertaining football player first and foremost.
“But the stats he had the first time around were really incredible in terms of assisting goals.
“So when you couple that up for the Celtic fans, looking for a winger to come in and be a real threat down that side and Kuhn obviously on the opposite side, that is a real scary prospect.”
Nicolas Kuhn’s Celtic stats vs Jota
Nicolas Kuhn had a difficult start to life at Celtic as the winger suffered from a health issue that hampered the beginning of his career.
However, this season the German winger has been on fire as Kuhn surpassed Jota’s goal-scoring record at Parkhead after Celtic’s win over St Mirren.
Since then, Kuhn has added another three goals and four assists as the Celtic winger continues his impressive season.
| Celtic record | Minutes | Goals | Assists | Goals per 90 | Assists per 90 |
| Nicolas Kuhn | 3062 | 19 | 15 | 0.70 | 0.47 |
| Jota | 2925 | 15 | 12 | 0.46 | 0.37 |
Looking at both wingers’ stats, the rest of the Scottish Premiership will be wondering just how they can stop Celtic’s attacking threat when faced with the Jota/Kuhn duo.
