Speculation of Lennon Miller possibly joining Celtic from Motherwell has been going on for well over two years now.
When Brendan Rodgers returned to Celtic in the summer of 2023, Miller was linked to the Bhoys less than six months later.
Since then Celtic have learned that Miller could cost the club in the region of £4m with former players like Charlie Mulgrew urging the Hoops to get a deal done as soon as possible.
However, as the young Motherwell midfielder enters the final year of his contract, a Fir Park coach has offered his opinion on whether or not he wants Miller to make the switch to Celtic Park this summer.

Motherwell U18 coach Richard Foster talks about Lennon Miller joining Celtic
Richard Foster is currently Motherwell’s Lead Development Coach and was asked where he sees Miller playing his football in the future amid speculation Celtic want him.
Foster told The Go Radio Football Show [18m 54s], “I have no hint. I spoke to his dad a couple of weeks back and, you know, he’s very, very tight-lipped, keeps his cards close to his chest and so he should. I hope he leaves Scotland.
“I hope he leaves Britain. I don’t want him to go down to England at this point in his career. I don’t want him to stay in, you know, only Celtic in Scotland could afford him.
“With all respect to Celtic, I don’t want him to go there. You look at Lewis Ferguson, how well he’s doing over in Italy and among several others, McTominay is slightly different. He’s coming from Man United, but he’s been exceptional as well.
“So somewhere like Italy, possibly Germany, something like that for me would be perfect for Lennon to go and play games because that’s the main thing.
“He needs to go and play games. How many players do we see leave Scotland, get that big money move and then in two or three years’ time, they come back up to Scotland and they’ve played no football.”
How Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers feels about Lennon Miller
Celtic were last linked to Miller back in March after reports from the Daily Record claimed the Parkhead club were still sending scouts on missions to watch the Scotland midfielder.
With the club said to be ‘very much active’ in their pursuit of Miller, Rodgers must think a lot of the young midfielder.
Rodgers is said to ‘rate Miller highly’ and there is no doubt that the Celtic manager sees the talented midfielder as one who could really add something to his squad.
This summer will undoubtedly be a busy one for Celtic and it is unlikely this is the last fans will hear of Miller being linked with a potential move to Paradise.
