What an emotional rollercoaster for Celtic fans!

This is a season every Celtic fan will remember for a long time, as many have played their part in this monumental and chaotic title win.

That includes the now-injured Julian Araujo, whose season and loan spell from Bournemouth, unfortunately, was cut short before the post-split fixtures.

But that doesn’t mean Araujo hasn’t forgotten about Celtic, because he has been posting about the club on several occasions during the past few weeks, including after the Hearts game on Saturday, where he told supporters on Instagram about the title win: ‘A special moment I’ll never forget.’

Julian Araujo lauds Celtic fans after title win over Hearts

More than likely, Celtic won’t sign Araujo next season, not because he isn’t good enough, but because he isn’t needed, especially with Alistair Johnston back from injury and Colby Donovan on the rise.

But sometimes you need characters like the Mexican star, and it will be interesting to see what the next manager, whoever he is, thinks of the all-action right-back.

Either way, this was Araujo’s message to the Celtic fans, after those joyful scenes of the title win over Hearts:

‘League Champions!!! 🏆🍀 What a feeling,’ wrote Araujo.

‘Grateful to everyone at this club… my teammates, the staff and especially the fans for the support along the way! A special moment I’ll never forget 💚.’

That goal against Kilmarnock…

Celtic won the title because Martin O’Neill came back twice, especially after the Wilfried Nancy debacle; if he hadn’t, then Hearts would probably be champions by now.

But many, many huge moments under O’Neill resulted in title number 56 being put in the cabinet.

Other than the final-day scenes and those goals from Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand, perhaps nothing will top Araujo’s winning goal against Kilmarnock.

Not only did Celtic come from 2-0 down to secure a massive, massive three points.

But Araujo fired the ball into the Rugby Park net in stoppage time, celebrated with the fans in the stands, and has now written his name into Celtic folklore.
