Luis Palma has had a very difficult time at Celtic.

The Honduran winger had a great start to his Celtic career after Palma completed his move from Aris in the summer of 2023.

Scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in his first six months, Palma considers his time at Celtic a success.

However, the Honduran found the second-half of his first season at Celtic difficult as he dropped out of Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up.

Last season, Palma completely fell out of the Celtic boss’ plans and now finds himself out on loan at Lech Poznan.

And here, the 25-year-old has revealed his relationship with Rodgers and his deep affection for Celtic and the fans.

Celtic fans found themselves getting more and more frustrated with Palma as his performances dipped towards the end of his first season and beyond.

But even so, Palma still holds great ‘love’ for Celtic and the fans as he talks about his relationship with Rodgers.

Palma told The Celtic Way, “I’ve got a great relationship with the gaffer, and the same applies to Kendo (John Kennedy).

“They were very, very special people in my career. From the moment I arrived at Celtic, they made everything feel good and positive.

“I still miss my team-mates, the staff, and training with the squad. They’re all good guys, and I wish them every success.

“I was very happy at Celtic and I enjoyed my time at the club immensely. If it hadn’t been for the injuries, who knows what might have happened?

“I love Celtic, and I’ll be a supporter for life now. The fans were incredible. I can’t thank them enough for how they treated me. I want to thank them for everything.”
