Former Celtic youngster, Ewan Otoo got his season at his new club off to a flyer at the weekend with a Man of the Match performance and also scoring his first goal in the 2-1 win over Airdrie.
Otoo had a brief spell on loan at The Pars last season after he joined them in January to help push their promotion bid from Scottish League One.
It was a loan that paid off as Otoo helped the Fife club to win the league and automatic promotion to the Scottish Championship.
The youngster then joined Dunfermline permanently this summer and he has already started to repay his new gaffer, James McPake, back for putting his faith in him.
And speaking post-match, McPake was absolutely delighted with his new signing as he praised the 20-year-old for his Man of the Match performance at East End Park.
McPake said [Dunfermline FC YouTube], “Ewan should be getting more goals. We’ve had that conversation with him. He can be a box-to-box midfielder and you can see him fitting into centre-back as well.
“Another excellent footballer and really good luck to work with.”

Otoo said that when he joined Dunfermline at the end of the season one of his goals was just to hit the ground running for his new club.
He certainly has done that after his performance that helped get his club off to a winning start. You can view his goal here.
Ironically, this is also the same fixture that young Celtic prospect, Josh Clarke featured in after his emergency loan to Airdrie. Clarke also earned a positive review from his manager despite the opening-day defeat.
It’s great to see young Otoo go on and start his Dunfermline career so positively. Maybe one day he will return to Celtic Park in the future with The Pars.
