Brendan Rodgers addressed rumours surrounding Celtic heroes Kyogo Furuhashi, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Nicolas Kuhn.
The Celtic manager has had to deal with plenty of transfer gossip surrounding his players and yesterday Rodgers addressed them in his Dundee vs Celtic press conference.
Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked to a Celtic exit to the MLS, Hoops defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has been spoken about as being a target for Bayer Leverkusen and, of course, the Nicolas Kuhn to Burnley story as the Celtic winger continues his red-hot start to the season.
So you would think Rodgers would be annoyed at having to answer questions about his Celtic first-team players’ future at such a crucial part of the season, right?
Well, it seems that the line of questioning didn’t phase Rodgers as journalist, Michael Gannon shares what he noticed about the Celtic boss’ demeanour throughout the transfer interrogation.

Brendan Rodgers ‘relaxed’ discussing Celtic transfer rumours
Gannon told Hotline Live: “It was a pretty relaxed affair. The most interesting thing was he was asked about a lot of transfer chat, obviously, in January. I asked about comings and goings.
“And obviously, there’s been interest in some of these players. And yeah, kind of lukewarm talk about Carter-Vickers and Bayer Leverkusen. There was talk about Kyogo and the MLS carry-on.
“Nicolas Kuhn, another one, was talked about before the window. So there’s a few things bubbling up.
“And so he was asked about the kind of prospect of players, maybe getting bids come in for these players. And he was quite interested in it. He just basically said that they don’t want to sell any of these guys, they want to keep them for the time being.
“But they’re also prepared for any eventuality. So he’s quite realistic and quite pragmatic. He knows that if serious money gets slapped on the table for these guys, Celtic have to consider these things.
And the key to it is having contingency plans in place. So he’s certainly not panicking about the prospect of bids coming in. Not welcoming them, but he’s not particularly fussed about it, not scared about it.”
What Celtic hero Cameron Carter-Vickers said about Bayer Leverkusen
Probably the most concerning transfer rumour is that of Cameron Carter-Vickers. The big Celtic defender has been at the club for almost three seasons now and has been the best and most consistent performer.
The 27-year-old is entering the prime of his career and as a current US internationalist, Carter-Vickers is bound to attract a lot of attention.
However, the Hoops defender batted away rumours surrounding his Celtic future as Carter-Vickers said, “For me, not really (taken any notice) because there’s always gonna be talk in the papers.
“A lot of the stuff you read is not always true and for me, I’m here and prepared to play each game the best I can.”
So it seems that Carter-Vickers is happy at Celtic and enjoying his football as he chases his second treble in three years at the club.
