The Adam Idah chat concerning him returning to Celtic may be about to get a little bit more interesting for the Celtic fans this morning.
After a successful loan spell at Celtic, Brendan Rodgers is keen on bringing the Republic of Ireland international striker back to Parkhead permanently.
Despite reports claiming Celtic were making ‘significant progress’ on a deal over two weeks ago, there has still been no movement yet as to whether the Parkhead support will see Idah in the green and white Hoops again.
And after Norwich City manager, Johannes Hoff Thorup’s comments after his team’s 3-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Club Brugge yesterday, it seems that the Danish coach may well have plans of his own for the 23-year-old.
Adam Idah will be ‘a valuable player’ for Norwich
Adam Idah played just 33 minutes of the game for Norwich before being taken off in a ‘planned‘ substitution.
That move got the Celtic fans excited on social media but it seems that excitement may be a bit premature after Thorup’s post-match comments.
Thourup said [Norwich FC], “Good to see him back. He’s been a part of the group now for a little bit more than a week.
“I’ve had a couple of sessions with the boys and important for us to get him started.
“Important for him to get in and have some minutes again and I think we could see what he can support this team with.

“So it’s nice to have him back on the pitch and I think he will be a valuable player for us.”
Idah has made it clear to Norwich already this summer that he wants to leave the club and make a permanent switch to Celtic.
But with four years left on his current deal, the ball is firmly in the Championship club’s court.
With talks said to be continuing between Celtic and Norwich about a possible deal, it seems that Thorup may well have an idea of his own for the striker after watching him in pre-season training.
