Dermot Desmond, the majority owner of Celtic, and Brendan Rodgers will meet in London to talk about a move back to Parkhead according to The Daily Mail.
As discussed on 67 Hail Hail, Michael Nicholson and Finance Director Chris McKay spoke with Rodgers on Saturday after taking a private flight to Mallorca to discuss a possible return to Celtic.
It seems now that following those talks Rodgers will now travel to London to see Celtic’s majority shareholder before making a decision on his immediate future. Desmond is still a huge admirer of Rodgers after his accomplishments with Celtic in his first stint as manager.

It was first thought that the former Celtic manager had an intention of taking a significant sabbatical from the game after leaving Leicester City this season, but it seems now that he could be persuaded to return to Parkhead should the talks with Desmond be successful.
It does seem like Celtic are set on Rodgers becoming the new manager. The hunt for Ange Postecoglou’s heir has certainly thrown up plenty of names, but as the days go by, Celtic close in on appointing their new man.

However, Celtic are keeping their options open. Talks have already been held with Francesco Farioli. The 34-year-old coach is currently out of work and has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic Park.
Enzo Maresca and Kjetil Knutsen are two other names seemingly in the frame but, as far as we know, no talks have been held with either candidate although the club did plan to speak to Maresca after Saturday’s Champions League Final.
The coming days will no doubt see the search for a new manager reach its conclusion and we will keep a close eye on the events as they unfold.
