With the international break in full swing, some of Celtic’s youngsters have also gone to link up with their respective countries.
10 Celtic players were called up for the October internationals, with many of those competing for a place at the 2026 World Cup.
Other names like Reo Hatate and Kelechi Iheanacho have been snubbed by their nations and will remain with Brendan Rodgers at Lennoxtown to focus on the return to domestic football.
Some of the Celtic academy stars, who are at the club and are out on loan, will also play at youth level.
Here, 67 Hail Hail takes a look at the five youngsters competing over the break.
Ben McPherson (Scotland U21s)
Ben McPherson is currently on loan at Partick Thistle but will play for Scotland U21s in their two games against Gibraltar and Azerbaijan as part of the European U21 Championships qualifying games.
It has already been a memorable break for the defender after Steve Clarke invited McPherson to train with Scotland’s senior squad.

Colby Donovan (Scotland U21s)

Colby Donovan is the most high-profile of the youngsters called up for international duty after breaking into the Celtic first-team.
Rodgers has praised Donovan for his impact after he was forced to step up and replace Alistair Johnston and Anthony Ralston due to injury.
Donovan has a bright future ahead of him, and if he impresses for Scot Gemmill’s side, there is every chance that he could force himself into contention for a senior call-up.

Kyle Ure (Scotland U21s)
The last of the Celtic youngsters to be called up to the U21s, Kyle Ure is on loan at Ayr United.
Scott Brown was ‘blown away’ by Ure and thinks he has a bright future ahead of him, with some even tipping him to be a long-term replacement for Callum McGregor.
In the meantime, the 19-year-old will be playing with some of his Celtic associates while with the young Scots as part of the Euro qualifying campaign.

Sean McArdle (Scotland U19s)

Moving down an age category, Sean McArdle will be one of the standout names to keep an eye on in the Scotland U19s squad.
McArdle made his senior debut for the Bhoys last season and featured heavily in Celtic’s 2025 pre-season campaign.
In a bid to play more football, McArdle is now on loan at Partick Thistle, where Jags boss Mark Wilson is taking him under his wing.
Expect him to play in both of Scotland’s games.

Finlay Hale (Scotland U19s)
Finlay Hale is emerging as a hot prospect at Celtic and will be hoping to work his way up the ladder into first-team contention in the coming years.
He is still some way off that for now. However, the defender will be focused on linking up with McArdle and will hope to play in both games.
