The new season hasn’t even kicked off yet and Celtic and Adidas continue their remarkable record of annoying the fans.

Celtic’s launch of the new 2025/26 away kit is the club’s SIXTH new merchandise initiative since the Parkhead board signed a new deal with Adidas back in May.

Since then, Celtic supporters have had Adidas unveil the new home kit for the coming season, Celtic themed Samba shoes, training gear, a third kit and US themed Parkhead merchandise.

And to make it even worse, the price of every piece of new kit is not cheap.

The new away top starts at the princely sum of £75 with the full kit hammering Celtic fans for a whopping £185.

And as the Parkhead board continue to ask fans for cash this summer, Celtic supporters proceed to hit back at the lack of real transfer activity as the club sits on a mountain of cash.

Celtic fans send the Parkhead board a strong transfer message after new Adidas kit launch

So far, Celtic’s transfer spend has been minimal this summer with the highest fee they have spent on Benjamin Nygren at around £1.3m.

And whilst the Celtic board embark on yet another money-making exercise, the fans are hitting back with a strong transfer message.

One Celtic fan posted, “Announce a new signing and we’ll consider buying it!” as another replied, “Sign four first team players and I’ll buy it I swear. I’ll buy them all!”

This was clever from another Parkhead supporter:

Continuing the transfer theme, this Celtic fan said, “I’ll query about purchasing and throw a bid of £15 your way, if that doesn’t work I’ll buy the training top for £30.”

And finally:

Celtic’s full transfer spend so far this summer

Celtic’s finances are in the best health of the club’s entire history.

As circa £80m sloshes around the Hoops’ bank account, what has been spent so far this summer is clearly nowhere near where the fans want.

Here is Celtic’s total summer transfer outlay so far:

The clock is ticking and so is the fans’ patience as Celtic’s summer transfer activity limps on.
