Celtic’s win over Young Boys created many unique moments but for all the wrong reasons.

The Champions League win at Celtic Park meant that Brendan Rodgers led his team out of the group stages for the first time in over 12 years.

But there were plenty of incidents within the game that left the Celtic supporters on the edge of their seats against Young Boys.

Three offside Kyogo goals, a missed penalty by Adam Idah and a red card for Celtic winger Daizen Maeda made the fixture one that will not be forgotten in a long time for the Hoops support.

But it was the goal that clinched the three points that nabbed the headlines after a Young Boys defender deflected a saved Adam Idah shot into the Swiss side’s net to secure the win for Celtic.

However, it was what happened immediately after that that caught our eye at 67 Hail Hail as Celtic duo Reo Hatate and Idan both shared a class moment during the celebrations.

As every Celtic fan knows, it was Hatate’s incredible pass that created the opportunity for Idah to score the goal.

And after the ball hit the back of the net, these scenes erupted:

The way both players recognised their part in the goal was a real touch of class and the sheer look of joy on Hatate’s face afterwards was just priceless.

You could see how much Idah’s part in that goal meant to the Celtic midfielder.

Adam Idah can kick on now that Kyogo Furuhashi is leaving Celtic

The Republic of Ireland striker has had to play second fiddle to Kyogo as the Japanese forward remained one of the first names on the Celtic team sheet.

The Celtic manager now has the opportunity to give Idah a free run up front now that Kyogo is engineering his Celtic exit to Rennes.

With Daizen Maeda missing for Celtic’s next Champions League fixture with Aston Villa, now is the time for Idah to make his mark and stake a claim to become the Hoops’ number-one striker for the rest of the season.
