Brendan Rodgers knows his Celtic team requires strengthening this summer.
The loss of Nicolas Kuhn to Como was a big blow to the Celtic manager as the German was arguably one of his best attacking options.
Celtic have also lost Greg Taylor, Maik Nawrocki, Gustaf Lagerbielke, as well as Jota to injury and all that with the new season kick-off in a matter of days.
Rodgers has also added seven players with Jahmai Simpson-Pusey’s Celtic announcement said to be made in the next 24 hours.
So when Sky Sports asked the Celtic boss if he thought his team were ‘weaker or stronger’ right now, what Rodgers said, or didn’t say, was quite telling.

Brendan Rodgers dodges Sky Sports question but Celtic fans know the truth
Rodgers was telling Celtic fans when they can expect the next summer transfer announcement when Sky Sports asked, “Is it too obvious to say or ask the question, are you weaker or are you stronger?”
And what the Celtic manager didn’t say was very telling.
Rodgers replied, “Well, listen, for me, the focus is very much on what’s here.
“We know we have work to do, and I’m hopeful that we can get that done by the end of the window.
“But in the meantime, as I said, the players have worked fantastic over the course of this pre-season, some really good performances and growing and developing our spirit, which is going to be really important for us.”
It’s plainly obvious that Celtic are weaker at this point than at the end of last season. Although fans would never expect Rodgers to answer that question, the Parkhead support knows the truth.
