The Celtic transfer train just continues to motor forward as Fabrizio Romano has dropped the latest news regarding Brendan Rodgers’ side.

There has been a lot of talk around Alex Valle’s future at Celtic – he is on loan from Barcelona – and suggestions that Kieran Tierney might return from Arsenal.

Celtic fans have already witnessed a familiar face don the club’s colours again when Jota came back after Kyogo Furuhashi left.

It has been a whirlwind week in Glasgow, after Celtic booked their play-off ticket in the Champions League, and it’s not stopping there.

There has been a big change in the forward areas and now the same could happen at left-back, with Valle and Tierney.

Alex Valle to join FC Como and leave Celtic amid Kieran Tierney talks

Every Celtic fan wants Tierney to return, and you won’t be surprised to hear that Arsenal supporters don’t want the left-back to leave either.

But Fabrizio Romano has shared that Valle’s loan deal with Celtic will be ‘broken’ and he is due for a medical with Como, who are managed by Cesc Fabregas in Serie A.

There might be a clue in Valle’s loan deal to the Italian side that Celtic had Tierney on their mind all along because there is a ‘€6m exit clause available’ in Valle’s contract for Como, as Romano shared on Twitter.

‘EXCL: Como have reached verbal agreement to sign Alex Valle from Barça,’ wrote Romano.

‘Story revealed two weeks ago now done deal as loan to Celtic will be broken (with Tierney to join now or July), waiting on all documents. Loan from Barça, €6m exit clause available. Medical booked’.

How has Valle faired at Celtic?

Valle began his Celtic career with a bang when he produced an outrageous assist during Celtic’s demolition job of St Johnstone at the start of the campaign.

But despite the Spanish star showing signs of positivity throughout his small tenure at Parkhead, Greg Taylor has remained Celtic’s starting left-back.

In total, Valle started ten games for Celtic and was handed a healthy rating of 6.92 for his performances by WhoScored.

He certainly has a big future in the game and you won’t be surprised if he makes huge strides under Fabregas’ stewardship.
