‘Amazing’ – Jeffrey Schlupp and David Turnbull react to latest Celtic transfer news

Celtic have to be applauded for getting their transfer business concluded pretty quickly.

It has been less than a month since the 2025 summer transfer window re-opened, and from incomings to outgoings, those in the Parkhead boardroom have been pretty busy.

In some cases, it was just a case of certain deals everyone knew were going to happen getting confirmed, such as Kieran Tierney making a return to Celtic after his Arsenal contract expired on June 30.

There is a bit of a theme with Celtic left-backs being out of contract, because Greg Taylor was in the same boat until he confirmed his next move on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Schlupp and David Turnbull react to Greg Taylor’s Celtic exit

Jeffrey Schlupp is another player out of contract, and he took to Instagram to react to Taylor signing for PAOK after his Celtic deal expired.

The duo were fighting for a starting spot during the second half of last season, but both of them are out of the Celtic picture now.

Schlupp, alongside former Bhoys player, David Turnbull, who was relegated with Cardiff City to England’s third-tier last season, sent the following messages in the comments section of Taylor’s IG.

What’s next for Schlupp after Celtic loan spell?

Tierney is Celtic’s starting left-back for next season, but who is going to be the back-up option and who will challenge him?

You have players currently at the club who can play that role, if need be, and then some could yet be purchased for that role.

Schlupp is another one, as well as Celtic’s incoming transfer signing Hayato Inamura, who is primarily a centre-back by trade.
