The end of Celtic’s season is fast approaching with just the Scottish Cup final on Saturday to go.
The Hoops will face Aberdeen for a chance to win yet another domestic Treble before plans for the summer transfer window really start to motor up.
Celtic striker target Mathias Kvistagaarden is also wanted by Eintracht Frankfurt, while Slovan Bratislava’s David Strelec continues to be linked.
Reo Hatate is interesting Udinese while Nicolas Kuhn is apparently on the radar of both Leeds United and Newcastle United.
Now, a report has dropped surrounding Celtic’s record £11m signing from last summer, Arne Engels.

Arne Engels remains on Atalanta’s transfer wishlist
It was reported in January that Atalanta were having a look at Engels, but of course nothing came to fruition and Celtic did not sell.
But that talk has resurfaced again via a report from journalist Alfredo Pedullà via Sport Italia. Pedullà was providing a wider update about Atalanta’s transfer situation and namechecked Engels.
He claims ‘concrete attempts’ had been made to sign Engels from Celtic.
Pedullà said: “On the (transfer short)list there are some names that we had already revealed in the last transfer market session: from the dream of Cherki, leaving Lyon, to the liking for Paixao of Feyenoord.
“And in midfield concrete attempts had already been made for Frendrup of Genoa and Arne Engels of Celtic.”
But Engels and Celtic expected to ‘stick together’
However, Celtic fan fears have been calmed by the Daily Record’s latest update on the situation.
They claim the Hoops ‘are in no rush to sell’ the Belgium international midfielder and that both parties are aligned with Engels staying at Parkhead.
Of course, Celtic splurged £11m on Engels from FC Augsburg last summer so it would take a mammoth bid for the club to even consider selling up.
Engels has enjoyed a decent debut campaign and was nominated for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award, although Celtic-linked Lennon Miller beat him to the prize.
The 21-year-old has divided opinion this season with fans, but Brendan Rodgers has trusted him and has played him regularly alongside captain Callum McGregor and Hatate.
