The very latest Celtic transfer news. We bring you reports regarding Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden and Liverpool wonderkid Owen Beck as part of Thursday’s January window bulletin.
We are now four days into the January transfer window and as of yet, Celtic have not put smiles on fans’ faces with a new signing or two.
The only movement so far has been Nat Phillip’s loan deal ending, as the central defender made his way back down to Liverpool after an underwhelming stint with the Hoops.
But despite the lack of concrete done deals in or out, transfer reports and rumours are aplenty. 67 Hail Hail provide you with the latest on Kvistgaarden and Beck, two players Celtic have been recently been linked with.

Mathias Kvistgaarden Celtic ‘wait’
Celtic have still not made an effort to lodge a bid for Danish U21 international forward Mathias Kvistgaarden, according to Football Scotland journalist Mark Hendry.
The Brondby attacker – who is also interesting Schalke 04 – was high on the Hoops’ transfer shortlist in the summer, so much so that the club submitted a £4m offer for Kvistgaarden’s services.
However, that was rejected by Brondby and since then Celtic haven’t followed it up with an improved bid.
Since then, reports coming out of Denmark suggested that Brondby would only accept offers between £6.9m and £8.5m for their prized asset, who has seven goals and seven assists in 21 games this season.
The price range certainly isn’t out of Celtic’s reach but it seems rather unlikely the club shell out that sort of money to a Scandinavian club midway through the campaign.
It was said in November that Celtic would go back in for Kvistgaarden this month. But at the moment, there is allegedly no movement regarding any potential switch.
Owen Beck Celtic advance ‘rejected’

With Liverpool in the midst of a left-back injury crisis, it would be no surprise to see Owen Beck given game time at the club.
And that is what The Times have been reporting recently, while also claiming that both Celtic and Rangers have saw advances to potentially sign the exciting full-back pushed back.
Beck starred for Dundee on loan this season and was a firm favourite amongst the Dens Park support after plenty of eye-catching displays.
But Liverpool recalled him early as a result of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas’ current injuries. That reportedly didn’t stop Celtic from making a move, with the Hoops wanting to sign Beck ‘permanently’.
Rangers were interested too but Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the kid and is expected to hand Beck minutes in a Liverpool shirt across the rest of the season.
Alexandro Bernabei is out of the picture at Celtic so Beck could have been an ideal replacement for the Argentinian. However, it appears Celts will have to switch their focus elsewhere if they are considering to recruit a left-back this month.
