Things are starting to move for Celtic on the transfer front.

Changes are being made across the board, from Brendan Rodgers refreshing the squad, as well as Celtic players leaving.

It’s barely been a month since the 2025 summer transfer window re-opened, yet seven deals have been concluded, including three players heading for the exit door.

Scott Bain’s departure was confirmed this month, after he joined newly-promoted Falkirk, and he was given a brilliant send-off on social media by Celtic.

On top of that, Joey Dawson has joined Scunthorpe United permanently, but another exit might have gone under the radar for some.

Rocco Vata and Daniel Cummings react to Matthew Anderson leaving Celtic

Rocco Vata left Celtic last summer and joined English Championship side Watford, whilst Daniel Cummings is expected to join West Ham United when his Celtic contract expires this month.

The duo, alongside many other players, reacted to the news on Instagram that Matthew Anderson has left and joined Belgian side KV Kortrijk.

This is what they posted in the comments section:

Anderson leaves without fulfilling his dream

It’s the brutal reality of professional football, but not everyone makes it to the top and has the opportunity to represent their boyhood club.

Anderson came through Celtic’s age groups, but didn’t manage to earn those senior minutes, as he will be hoping to work his way up the ladder via Belgium.

The left-back, who was on loan at Austrian side Admira Wacker, a team Celtic shares a partnership with, now joins a team looking to bounce back.

KV Kortrijk were relegated from the Belgian Pro League last season, and the pressure will be on straight away to make an instant return.
