The end of the 2024/25 season is nigh and that means transfer speculation for the summer window is starting to ramp up for Celtic.
The Hoops have been linked with signing a new striker to compete with Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah as Brendan Rodgers admitted ‘change is needed’ in his first-team squad.
Mathias Kvistgaarden has been heavily linked with a move from Brondby, while Slovan Bratislava’s David Strelec is on Celtic’s radar after a failed January bid.
Now, a new rumour has emerged regarding a Blackburn Rovers star who Rangers are also said to be interested in.

Celtic ‘monitoring’ Blackburn Rovers star Tyrhys Dolan
According to Newsquest writer Stephen McGowan as per The Celtic Way, Celtic are said to be keeping tabs on winger Tyrhys Dolan.
The 23-year-old currently plays for Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Championship and crucially, he is out of contract at the end of the season.
McGowan claims that the £5-10m rated Dolan was actually on Celtic’s January transfer shortlist before the Bhoys wrapped up the £8m deal to bring Jota back to Parkhead from Rennes.
Dolan’s future at Ewood Park is unclear having spent the last five years at the Lancashire outfit. He has played 47 games across all competitions for Rovers this season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.
He spent his youth career at Manchester City, Burnley and Preston North End before making a loan switch to Clitheroe FC in 2020.
Dolan is a former England U20 international and earned four caps at that level.
Blackburn head coach Valerian Ismael on Dolan
It was reported by the Lancashire Telegraph last week that Blackburn head coach Valerian Ismael has not given up on persuading Dolan to sign a new contract.
Fans are desperate for the winger to stay put and Rovers will reportedly offer him one final contract proposal, but it may not be the most lucrative of deals.
Ismael said: “I think yes, that’s my feeling. Personally, I will do that. Personally, I will do that to take my time to assess the situation.
“Just to reflect on everything and to make the right decision. This is the most difficult one for the club, for sure. He (Dolan) will take his time, go on holiday and assess what he will do. It is his decision.
“As I say, he put himself in that position. It’s a good position for him, so we have to respect that. We have to be patient, we will try to keep him and fight for our players.
“He knows the environment he’s got, the love we give him. But at some point, it depends on the offer he has. Sometimes the offer dictates your decision.
“When you put yourself in a strong position in the transfer market and with your performances, you can get the rewards with a bigger offer, better opportunities. You have to accept this part of the game.
“We will see, it is about negotiations. He is an important player in the team and that’s what we can give him.”
