With the transfer window closing in less than two weeks time, Brendan Rodgers still has much to do in terms of bringing in players to strengthen Celtic and to get players on the fringes some game time or a new club.
The Celtic boss has been hard at work offloading those who he feels will play no further part in his plans this season and has already overseen the departures of Sead Haksabanovic, Hyeongyu Oh, Bosun Lawal and Benjamin Siegrist.
And it seems that Gustaf Lagerbielke could be next after a report claims the Celtic defender has already held talks about leaving the club on loan before the transfer window closes.
Heerenveen ‘wants’ Celtic defender
According to Fussball Transfers Lagerbielke has held talks with Heerenveen this week with a view to making a loan move to the Eredivisie.
The report also suggests that Belgian side, KV Mechelen, is also keen on Lagerbielke but the Dutch side is said to ‘working intensively’ after talks took place between the Swedish international and Celtic yesterday.
Lagerbielke arrived at Celtic last summer and has made just ten appearances in the green and white Hoops.

The big Swede did score the winning goal against Feyenoord that ended Celtic’s winless run in the Champions League last season but since that night in December Lagerbielke has only managed to get another 31 first-team minutes.
This isn’t the first time Lagerbielke has attracted attention from abroad. We discussed previously how Lecce, Verona and Parma were all interested in the Celtic defender back in July but since then those rumours have gone cold.
Lagerbielke did make some substitute appearances in Celtic’s US Tour this summer but it seems that the writing is on the wall for the former Swedish Defender of the Year and his time at Parkhead could be coming to a temporary end.
