Nicolas Kuhn is on his way out of Celtic.
It was short-lived after Kuhn joined Celtic during the January transfer window of 2024, but he still picked up four trophies during his stay in Glasgow and produced some high-quality moments.
But now, Kuhn is on his way to Como, to be managed by Cesc Fabregas in Serie A, and to also link up with former Celtic loanee, Alex Valle.
That’s one big change to Brendan Rodgers’ forward line ahead of the new season, but could Celtic make another?

Celtic would sell Adam Idah alongside Nicolas Kuhn
Adam Idah has divided opinion ever since he secured a permanent transfer to Celtic last summer, and the £9 million price tag on his head doesn’t help matters.
Celtic have already signed a striker this summer, in the form of teenager Callum Osmand from Fulham, but he is yet to taste senior football.
But Gordon Dalziel thinks he could see the champions of Scotland happily allowing Idah to leave this summer, and he noted how he ‘isn’t a fan’s favourite’, as he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
“I think if a team comes in for Idah, and the price is accepted by Celtic, yeah, I do,” said Dalziel. “I don’t think Celtic tend to work too much on losses. It depends on what it was. You take into consideration his wages and everything.”
Presenter Andrew Maclean then stated: “If you make that profit on Nicolas Kuhn, then a loss on Adam Idah doesn’t look so bad.”
Dalziel then added: “Celtic don’t operate like that. There is no doubt. Brendan Rodgers might look at Idah and think, ‘right, next year could be a big year for him.’
“I think when Kyogo left, everybody was expecting Adam Idah to fill his shoes, and be the number nine. Be that centre-forward that they went out and splashed £9 million for, and before you know it, he becomes the number two striker because Maeda goes into the centre-forward berth, and he has been absolutely brilliant. Won Player of the Year. Scored goals for fun.
“I don’t think he is a fan’s favourite, Idah. I still think he can score goals. I still think that he has things to offer. But I think he has to up his game, especially next season and with that price tag.”
Idah’s ‘loan spell was a lot better’
When Idah first joined Celtic, it was a loan deal from Norwich City, and he proceeded to score some big goals, including that cup final winner against Rangers.
One thing that can’t be argued is that the hype and noise around him was high, many wanted him signed for good, and they got their wish.
But Dalziel thinks that there has been a difference in what Idah produced as a loanee compared to what he did in his first full campaign in Scotland.
“I thought his loan spell was a lot better than his (permanent) season, especially when Kyogo left, there was a great opportunity for him to just grab that spot as the number one striker,” added Dalziel.
“That’s probably what he was waiting for. Even looking at that. 20 goals isn’t a bad return. But if you are playing for Celtic week in and week out, and the amount of goals that they scored last year, and the way they dominate games. I think you are looking for a lot better return on goals.
“The transfer fee isn’t his fault. I would give Idah the benefit of the doubt. I think you have to give him another season. I think Brendan Rodgers was desperate to get him in the building, so he sees something differently from us.
“I do wonder if he will come good. I do think he has the potential to have a good season. Like Nicolas Kuhn, if the right sort of money comes in for Adam Idah, then I think he will be leaving Celtic Park.”
