Marco Tilio appears to be on his way out of Celtic Park.
After spending last season on loan at Melbourne City, Tilio returned to Paradise to report for pre-season.
However, while it appears unlikely that Tilio will re-sign for Melbourne City, the winger’s future still seems as though it lies away from Glasgow.

To that end, a European club has since indicated their interest in the 23-year-old, and their positive relationship with Celtic could see the transfer be completed.
Rapid Vienna want Marco Tilio from Celtic
As reported by the Daily Record, Rapid Vienna have emerged as contenders to sign Tilio.
The Austrian outfit, who missed out on European football after finishing fifth in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, are reportedly ‘keen to bring in another winger’, with Tilio one of their priority targets.
Indeed, Rapid Vienna ‘have been trailing [Tilio] since his successful loan at Melbourne City’, according to the report.
With Nicolas Kuhn having made the move from the Austrian capital to Parkhead in January 2024, the two clubs already have a good working relationship.
A deal could therefore be completed this window, ending the Australian’s difficult Celtic stay once and for all.
What Marco Tilio has said about his Celtic future indicates that he should be allowed to leave this Summer
Ahead of his return to Celtic, Tilio was open about his future, admitting that it is “obviously up in the air at the moment”. The winger added that he is “unsure what is going to happen” amid interest from other clubs.
Thus, it seems as though Tilio has his heart set on playing away from Celtic Park.
Considering his performances for Melbourne City – Tilio scored five goals and provided five assists in 19 appearances throughout the 2024/25 campaign, also delivering silverware in the form of the A-League trophy – his ideal move might be a return to his native country.

However, as that currently appears less likely than it did a month ago, Rapid Vienna presents a good option for the winger to kick on with his career in Europe.
After Celtic signed Shin Yamada following Kuhn’s move to Como, it is unlikely Rodgers will stand in Tilio’s way, either.
