Tawanda Maswanhise has dropped another hint about his future at Motherwell, which should put Celtic on red alert.

Maswanhise has been nominated for the PFA player of the season award after a stellar season with the Steelmen that has seen him linked with the Hoops.

Celtic tried to sign Maswanhise in the winter transfer window, but may have a chance to reignite their pursuit this summer.

Tawanda Maswanhise to weigh up options this summer

The Bhoys aren’t the only ones interested in the Zimbabwe international and there is certainly going to be a race to sign the winger.

Motherwell will be desperate to keep him but Maswanhise has admitted that he will look at all options.

He told the Daily Record: “If a team wants you, you’ve just got to show them why they want you, but that shouldn’t be the main focus.

“You’ve just got to keep working then when the summertime’s here, off season, you can really look at your options and stuff.

“I always think about my future. I love my future because it’s exciting. With the achievements I’ve had this year, there’s more on the table for me, so we’ll see.

“Who knows what will happen in the future.

“I’ll probably speak to my agent in the next few weeks. Not long until the season ends now.”

Tawanda Maswanhise to Celtic could depend on Jens Berhel Askou

One man who could dictate if the 23-year-old is playing at Celtic Park next season is his current manager, Jens Berthel Askou.

The Dane is one of the favourites for the Celtic job and is responsible for transforming Maswanhise into one of the Scottish Premiership’s best players.

Askou is admired by 67 Hail Hail fans and if the Hoops decide he is the perfect long-term replacement for Martin O’Neill, that could sway Maswanhise to follow suit and come to Parkhead.
