Keita Kosugi opens the door for Celtic move
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the top talents in Swedish football and was a part of the side that reached the UEFA Conference League semi-finals before losing to eventual winners Chelsea.
Everton are one of the Premier League clubs allegedly linked with Kosugi, who has suggested that he would be open to moving on, but equally won’t force any transfer.
He told fotbollsthlm.se: “Something could happen. We have plenty of time.”
Kosugi remains one of the club’s most valuable assets and wouldn’t come cheaply but, if he were to join, he’d be the latest Japanese player to play for Celtic.
What sort of player is Keita Kosugi?
Despite his young age, Kosugi already appears to be playing beyond his years.
Football Talent Scout described the full-back as a physical, mobile presence who has the stamina to get up and down the pitch.
Kosugi is also a very strong passer of the ball, as well as orchestrating a lot of the attacks by joining the overlap.
He sounds like a perfect back-up for Tierney and could be a shrewd bit of business for the long-term.
