Jeffrey Schlupp arrived at Celtic to little fanfare on Monday night.
Fans had their say about Schlupp’s move on social media as their deadline day business concluded with no striker in the door to join the Crystal Palace loanee.
So the lack of excitement was less about Schlupp‘s talents and more about the disappointment of failing to properly replace Kyogo who left for Rennes.
The 32-year-old made his Hoops bow in the 6-0 mauling of Dundee yesterday evening as he replaced Greg Taylor at left-back.
Midfield might be Schlupp’s favoured position but he was signed to rival Taylor at the back, and that has opened the door for another Celtic left-back option to head out on loan.

Adam Montgomery joins Queen’s Park on loan
St Johnstone were linked with Adam Montgomery on deadline day as the McDiarmid Park club hoped to land their former loanee for another six-months.
That switch for the 22-year-old did not come to fruition but he has still been able to make a move to an SPFL club who were delighted to take him.
Montgomery was confirmed as a new Queen’s Park player in the Scottish Championship this week as he looks to perhaps make his debut against Rangers in this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie.
Spiders boss Callum Davidson has worked with Monty before during his time as manager of St Johnstone and he knows exactly what to expect from the defender.
And speaking on the deal to the club’s official website, Davidson was chuffed to sign the player.
What Callum Davidson said about Montgomery
He said: “We are extremely pleased to be bringing Adam in.
“He is a player I know well having worked with him previously at St Johnstone and we know he will add real quality to the squad.
“He can play in a number of positions down the left hand side and that flexibility will be very important to us in terms of giving us options down that side of the team.
“We have absolutely no doubt he will have a big role to play for us for the remainder of the season.”
Montgomery has not featured for Celts this season but was on the bench for the Champions League tie at Aston Villa.
He has also been among the subs vs Ross County in early January.
